Jan Miles continued

Jan contributed to program development and mentor professional development at the NTC’s Silicon Valley New Teacher Project, which she helped to establish in 1998. With several years as a mentor and mentor professional developer, Jan now works with induction programs across the country and internationally. She has led the NTC implementation of a two-year, nationally funded study in collaboration with the US DOE, in eight urban cities. As well, she is a regular presenter and speaker at national conferences. Her twenty-three years’ experience in public education include mentoring beginning teachers and classroom teaching at the elementary and community college levels. Jan received two Master of Arts Degrees (Elementary Education-1987, and Education Administration and Supervision- 2005) from San Jose State University.
